Upload, generation और API अलग हैं
Existing image upload करना, नई image generate करना और API image request तीन अलग contracts हैं। Generation cooldown upload quota सिद्ध नहीं करता; failed upload generation count नहीं बताता; ChatGPT Plus API credits नहीं देता।
Minimal A/B test
Exact error, time, timezone, plan, surface और recent uploads रिकॉर्ड करें। फिर private content के बिना static PNG/JPEG under 20MB लें और केवल एक variable बदलकर एक बार retry करें: multiple images से one image, या वही image छोटा। Failed attempts quota consume कर सकते हैं, इसलिए blind clicking न करें। Success केवल उस moment के path को साबित करता है, remaining quota नहीं।

20MB single-image rule है। File upload FAQ में up to 80 files per 3 hours का rolling limit बताया गया है और peak time में घट सकता है; इसमें PDFs, spreadsheets और अन्य files भी शामिल हैं। यह image-only daily quota नहीं और fixed midnight reset नहीं। Free plan की file limits अलग हो सकती हैं।
Plan、Projects और storage
Free、Plus、Pro plan volume बदल सकते हैं, पर bad file, full storage, Project capacity या service incident को स्वतः ठीक नहीं करते। Official help pages में Plus Project capacity पर 20 और 25 का conflict तथा custom GPT knowledge पर 10 और 20 का conflict हो सकता है। इन numbers को universal rule न लिखें; login के बाद current interface को authoritative evidence मानें।
Library storage और per-user/shared storage अलग lines हो सकते हैं। Chat delete करने से Library में saved file जरूरी नहीं हटती; space खाली करने के लिए Library में file delete करें।
Support evidence
Supported static file under 20MB एक clean comparison के बाद भी fail हो, normal chat और Project दोनों fail हों, या docs और interface conflict करें तो support packet बनाएं: exact error, screenshot, timestamp, plan/account type, platform/version, file format/size, attachment count, recent successful upload, recent failures और Status result। API keys, passwords और private document content ticket में न डालें।
